Simplified year in the life of a bonsai You don't do all the activities to one tree - but you might do them all to multiple subjects. Spring - re-pot if necessary, collect from wild, wire, start air-layers, buy trees, major style, take cuttings, spray against fungus and pests. Summer - feed, water, let grow, maintenance prune, defoliate, wire, move them around to get the sun/avoid the sun. Autumn/fall - maintenance prune, arrange winter protection if needed, remove air layers, remove training wire. Winter - protect trees, buy pots, mix medium, build benches, ready pots with mesh, buy wire, read and post rubbish on weetrees. |

Nah - I post rubbish on weetrees year round. The Mrs says it's therapeutic for her as it stops me spouting rubbish in her direction. Seriously - pretty much like you say but it doing all those things right and on the right time for the right tree that always gets me! |

I might preparing for spring all winter too haha. Got about 14 pots to mesh and prep, then I think I'll be taking a day off work for the repotting haha. |

Already got my soil and bits ready just need to find but im on a budget to find pots so constanly trolling ebay every bugger seems to get the finally bids on the ones I like because im at work kills me so if anyone selling any on here let me know ill pay postage and packaging of course as im here on this lonely island theres hardly nothing around and a 45 min boat journey from mainland marooned with me and my trees |

At their recent Bonsai Bash they had a ton of seconds and used pots at insane prices, providing you can get them to you, I'd be surprised if you can get quality pots cheaper |
