Hi, I've got some doff liquid seaweed but on the bottle it says to use as a root drench and avoid the foliar. Then in the application rates it says-foliar spray thoroughly wetting the leaves... I've looked on http://www.doff.co.uk and it says the same. Any one got any answers? Being organic I'm not worried but why is it confusing?

Ive just ordered some sea weed extract from kaizen, plan on using it as a foliar feed only, just as an added benefit to normal feeding. some swear by it and some see no added benefit at all, I will see for myself if my trees respond to it or not.

I would contact the manufacturer and ask why their instructions for use are confusing.

Yes I use the one from Kaizen its great thick sweet smelling stuff, and since using it all my trees have seen a big improvement especially the pines.I use it as a foliage feed and in the soil and I have found trees treated with the seaweed seem to respond a lot quicker after a repot. And trees like Pines and Mediterranean trees seen to overwinter a lot better.
