Did anyone go to the UKBonsai Association auction at Heathrow on Sunday? I couldn't go this year unfortunately so would love to see pictures and hear what people bought.

Agree with Daryl, the UK Bonsai newsletter every month keeps you informed of past and present events.

I couldn't attend......... BUT, I have spoken to several who did go but felt it was spoilt by sellers setting far too high reserves, hoping for funny money...........oh,well they didn't sell anything then and had to take it all home.

I think most of the lots were sold in the end. Those which didn't make reserve (which was the minority to be honest) were put to one side and people were able to negotiate prices with the sellers.
Prices in general were higher this year - things weren't going for very low prices like last year, though there were still bargains to be had - but I think in general they were fair (and weren't approaching nursery prices). Just my view. The two trees I was selling made their reserves, just.
Overall I thought it was a really good day.
