Can anyone tell me what is so special about this tree.I'm obviously missing something

The graft, if it is grafted onto black pine, is very unobtrusive. If it is on it's own roots, it is doing well and looks healthy.

Agree with Stymie, this isn't a young tree, has a nice base, some taper and nice movement in the whole of the tree.

I wouldn't say it is special, BUT.......it is a nice tree and worth a few quid

Just needs a good wiring to place the branches, which will make it look even better

Hi I think the tree is grafted as there's a slight swelling to the trunk just above the Nebari and the needle colour is to dark for the tree not to be grafted. I have JWPs that are grafted and they all have the darker green colour to the needles while my non grafted and others I've seen have a softer colour and the needles are not as coarse but all in all it's a very nice tree and well worth the price it's at at the moment.
