Hi all, yesterday I bought my first bonsai tree in wyevale, (picture is linked) and I'm not too sure what type it is, does anyone have any ideas? It doesn't say on the packet or anything.. Also any tips for this type of plant as I'm a newbie? Thanks a lot!!! |

Welcome. It's a Podocarpus I think. A tropical tree that's often sold as an indoor bonsai. However, it will do better outside in the summer. It looks too dark where you have it. |

Not frost hardy but OK outside until night temperatures start to drop. If you have to keep it indoors during the winter, make sure it has good natural daylight. Here's a link to more information ... http://www.bonsai4me.com/SpeciesGuide/Podocarpus.html |
