Hello All

Just thought I would say Hello to you all.
And before anyone asks, sp72 is my initials but not my age although I hope to make it there one day :lol:

Got a couple of Chinese Elms for Christmas and will post some pictures soon, they are nothing compared to what some of you guys (and girls) have but maybe one day I'll start to catch up

Totally new at this but studying the guides on the site plus the web and the trees are looking healthy after six weeks or so, hopefully I'm doing it right

Welcome Simon. Plenty of advice here on all subjects to do with bonsai. Good to have you with us. Whereabouts in the SW are you? You may be one of those lucky blighters with a nice mild micro-climate.

Hello

Thank you all for saying hello and your warm welcome.
I'm in Devon on the south coast by the seaside...beside the sea, as they say :lol: The Riviera to be more precise.

I believe there are some clubs around within a reasonable distance so plan on taking a look as time goes on.

If I can keep the little Elm's healthy for the year in their new home, I'll be very happy :D

There is one club at Exeter or one at Torquay??

Hello Paul

Yes thanks for the info, I've found references to both Torquay and the Exeter clubs on the web.

The one in Torquay is in paignton which is part of Torbay so an easy drive away. Might just have to give that one a go I think.
